Adafruit TCA4307 Hot-Swap I2C Buffer with Stuck Bus Recovery

Description

The Adafruit TCA4307 Hot-Swap I2C Buffer breakout revolutionizes your I2C experience by providing seamless hot-swapping capabilities, protecting your system from bus disruptions caused by attaching or detaching peripherals.

Connect your main board, such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or Feather, to the IN side, and link your I2C sensors to the OUT side. This buffer supports 2.3 to 5.5V DC power and logic levels, handling up to 400KHz I2C clock rates.

Featuring automatic stuck bus recovery, the device disconnects if it detects low signals for about 40 ms and generates up to 16 pulses on SCLOUT to reset the bus. An ENable pin allows manual disconnection, while a READY pin indicates safe communication status.

The PCB is designed in the STEMMA QT form factor, compatible with SparkFun Qwiic I2C connectors, ensuring easy, solderless connections. Pair it with a wide range of sensors and accessories using compatible cables, available separately.
