Adafruit HUZZAH32 – ESP32 Breakout Board

Squeeze down your next ESP32 project to its essential core with the Adafruit HUZZAH32 Breakout. This compact board is the 'big sister' to our HUZZAH 8266, featuring the powerful ESP32 in place of the ESP8266. We've streamlined our Feather ESP32 by removing the battery charger and USB-serial converter, leaving you with a regulator, protection diodes, two buttons, and an LED.

Perfect for projects where size and cost are a priority, this board is programmed via an FTDI cable breakout. Lack of a USB to serial converter chip and auto-reset circuit means you'll need a CP2104 Friend or FTDI cable. To upload code, switch to bootloader mode by holding GPIO #0 and pressing Reset.

Key specifications include a dual-core ESP32 chip with 4 MB of SPI Flash, tuned antenna, and integral WiFi and Bluetooth® Classic/LE capabilities. This makes it ideal for wireless or Internet-connected projects. The ESP32 offers significantly more GPIO, analog inputs, dual analog outputs, and peripherals compared to the ESP8266, along with a faster processor.

Specifications from Espressif include a 240 MHz dual-core Tensilica LX6 microcontroller, integrated 802.11b/g/n HT40 Wi-Fi transceiver, and dual-mode Bluetooth®. With 520 KB SRAM, ultra-low noise analog amplifier, hall sensor, touch interface, and a range of other features, the HUZZAH32 Breakout fits a wide array of applications.

Fully assembled and tested, the board comes pre-programmed with ESP32 SPI WiFi co-processor firmware, usable in CircuitPython as a WiFi co-processor.
