Adafruit Mini Skinny NeoPixel Digital RGB LED Strip 2m

So thin. So mini. So teeeeeeny-tiny. It's the 'skinny' version of our classic NeoPixel strips! These NeoPixel strips are crafted for precision and creativity. With 60 digitally-addressable pixel mini LEDs per meter, each tiny light delivers high brightness and rich color, all within a slender 7.5 mm form, or an even slimmer 5 mm when removed from its casing.

These flexible white flex PCB strips provide weatherproof sheathing, ensuring durability both indoors and out. Perfectly designed for decoration, DIY projects, or professional installations, the strip is easy to customize. Simply cut along the cut-lines every 0.66”/17 mm, solder to the 0.1" copper pads, and extend or shorten as needed.

Specification-wise, these LEDs use about 9.5 Watts max (~2 Amps @ 5V) per meter when all are set to full white, though typical use is around 1/3 to 1/2 of the max current. A robust power source, like our 5V 2A or 10A supply, ensures optimum performance. Each LED is independently controllable via a single digital output pin, thanks to a shift-register embedded within each LED for seamless communication.

Utilizing an Arduino or similar microcontroller, the strip requires precise timing and memory management. The entirety of the strip needs to be buffered, and Arduino Uno projects generally provide space for about 500 LED pixels. For full strip control plus additional functionalities, an Arduino Mega is recommended.

The strips come on a 4-meter reel with a convenient 2 or 3-pin JST SM connector on each end, along with separated power/ground wires, and are sold by the meter. For a ready-to-use setup, we suggest pairing with our 5V DC adapters and a 2.1mm DC jack for simplified wiring.
