
Low-cost Lithium Polymer batteries have transformed the electronics scene. They are slim, lightweight, can be easily regulated down to 3.3V, and are simple to charge. The Adafruit LC709203F LiPoly/LiIon Fuel Gauge and Battery Monitor performs precise battery monitoring. It converts non-linear voltage readings into an accurate charge percentage, providing clarity on when to recharge.
This versatile gauge interfaces seamlessly with any microcontroller or microcomputer board through its I2C capability, compatible with both 3.3V and 5.0V logic. Simply connect your 3.7-4.2V Lithium Ion or Polymer battery to one of the JST 2 PH ports, and use the I2C interface along with provided Arduino or CircuitPython/Python library code to monitor voltage and charge.
Enhance functionality with a 10K thermistor connection for temperature readings. The custom-made PCB in the STEMMA QT form factor ensures easy integration, and the STEMMA QT connectors offer compatibility with SparkFun Qwiic I2C connectors, enabling solderless connections.
