This board resembles a compact ray gun for infrared light, equipped with two high-powered LED outputs. With the onboard N-Channel FET driver, it channels 100mA-200mA in pulses to each LED, offering a range of over 10 meters.
It provides a straightforward solution to achieving excellent IR emitter range without the need for complex wiring, making it exceptionally user-friendly. Utilizing a 2mm pitch STEMMA JST PH cable with headers or alligator clips, you can effortlessly connect the board without soldering.
The board includes a power transistor requiring only 3-5V DC input at V+ power and a ground connection. A 3-5V logic level signal on the input pin activates the LEDs, with a red LED indicator showing operation status, as infrared is invisible to the human eye.
Two pre-soldered LEDs positioned on the PCB enhance directional coverage, with an optional spot for an additional 5mm IR LED. At 5V power, each LED draws about 200mA; at 3V, it's around 100mA.
This setup is ideal for remote control transmissions. It’s delivered as a fully assembled, tested PCB, sans cable. Options for soldering include a 0.1" spaced header for power, ground, and signal connections.
