Adafruit eInk Feather Friend with 32KB SRAM

Description

Easy e-paper integration arrives with the Adafruit EInk Feather Friend, designed for seamless addition of an eInk display. E-paper enables persistent images even without power, offering high contrast and daylight readability akin to printed paper.

The board supports standard 24-pin connections for EInk displays, accommodating sizes up to tri-color 4.2". Power supply support circuitry and level shifting are included for simple connections to development boards, with compatibility through Arduino and CircuitPython libraries. Create a customizable 'frame buffer' for displaying desired pixels, then transmit to the display.

Typical breakouts struggle with buffer management, but the Eink Feather Friend simplifies this with an onboard 256 Kilobit (32 Kilobyte) SRAM chip. It efficiently supports 4.2" 300x400 tri-color displays, using shared SPI port for control, nullifying the need for complex frame buffering.

Interface effortlessly through our libraries, which provide easy control akin to Adafruit_GFX compatible displays. Opt to use microcontroller RAM if preferred. A MicroSD socket is included for storing images and text files. Assembly and testing are complete, with headers for stacking capabilities, requiring only a soldering iron for attachment.

Designed for EInk displays sporting a 24-pin FPC connector, ensuring compatibility is crucial before purchase. A unique tool for expanding display options on your Feather projects.
