Adafruit ADS7830 8-Channel 8-Bit ADC with I2C

Many microcontrollers include ADCs for analog sensor readings, but some systems, like single board computers, might lack them entirely. The Adafruit ADS7830 8-Channel 8-Bit ADC, equipped with an I2C interface, offers a budget-friendly solution to integrate into any platform seamlessly.

Connect using just four wires—SDA/SCL, power, and ground. With 2 address pins, it supports chaining for up to 32 ADC channels. Though its 70 Ksamples per second rate and 8-bit resolution cater primarily to basic sensor measurements rather than precise applications, it's ideal for integrating multiple potentiometers or flex sensors.

Power the board with 3-5V for both power and logic or customize the reference voltage for specific needs. The custom-designed PCB in STEMMA QT form factor ensures easy interfacing. Compatible STEMMA QT connectors work with SparkFun Qwiic I2C connectors, facilitating solderless connections. A standard 0.1" header for breadboard or perfboard use and four mounting holes ensure straightforward installation.
