Adafruit Yellow Electroluminescent (EL) Wire - 2.5 meters

EL Wire, also known as Electroluminescent wire, features a stiff wire core coated with phosphor and encased in a protective PVC sheath. When connected to an AC signal, it emits a vibrant glow.

This EL wire is vivid yellow and closely resembles thin neon, adding an elegant touch to any project. At 2.6mm thick and 250 cm long, it's ideal for costuming, accent lighting, and decorative applications like bicycle or car embellishments.

While not designed for outdoor use, it's perfect for indoor artistry or nighttime displays. It operates at approximately 100V from an external inverter, drawing a modest 200mA from 2xAA batteries for prolonged usage.

Pre-cut and pre-soldered for convenience, this EL wire can be plugged directly into an inverter to produce instant illumination. For customized projects, it can be cut and resoldered with necessary tools.
