Adafruit Anti-Static ESD Rework Mat with Grounding Clip - A4 Size

The anti-static work mat offers essential protection for electronics repair and delicate ESD-sensitive tasks. With a 2mm thickness and a high-resistance surface in the tens of Megaohms, it ensures safety from static electricity.

Featuring a grounding clip, it easily connects to an earth ground, typically a grounded metal chassis. Although heat-resistant, silicone mats offer superior protection against intense heat. This durable mat withstands corrosion, glues, and adhesives. For cleaning, a gentle wipe with water suffices, preserving the anti-static coating.

To test the coating, connect a multimeter in microAmpere mode with a 12V power supply—expect a few microAmps to pass. Measuring 30 cm by 20 cm, the mat includes a pre-installed grounding clip. Note that solder, soldering iron, and other components are not provided.
