These displays are multiplexed with a common-cathode design. Control the 8 anodes using a 74HC595 or spare 8 microcontroller pins, driving each segment at approximately 15mA. Connect NPN transistors or a TPIC6B595 to handle up to a total of 120mA per digit, ensuring efficient operation.
