Need those tricky split-rail voltages for your vintage electronics? The Adafruit TPS65131 Split Rail Boost Converter generates both positive and negative voltage rails from a single 3-5V input, making it ideal for replacing transformer-based power supplies or applications requiring negative bias.

Its compact design includes adjustable output pots, allowing voltage customization from approximately +6 to +15VDC and -6 to -15VDC. Efficiently suitable for audio or retro projects, this device can easily run on battery or USB.

Features encompass simultaneous generation of positive and negative voltages, an input voltage range of 3 to 5.5V, and an output current of 150mA from each rail with a +12/-12V output from a 4.5V input. Not recommended for motors, it excels at biasing or powering analog/digital electronics.

The design is breadboard-friendly with mounting holes and two trimmer pots. Originally intended for an Apple ][ disk drive -12V bias voltage, it also supports synthesizers, modulars, TTL logic, op-amps, and other applications demanding uncommon voltages.
