The TIMI-130 is encased in a sleek metal frame, allowing for viewing from any angle. It boasts a full RBG (65K vivid colors) IPS display with a resolution of 240×240. This 1.3” TFT IPS LCD display module is powered by a PIXXI-28 graphics processor from 4D Labs. The unique MatesBus interface makes the TIMI-130 easy to use in breadboard applications, as well as on adapters or directly into developed products.
The primary interface of TIMI is a 3.3V level Asynchronous Serial UART and it features three GPIO. These can be used as Digital or Analog inputs, Digital Outputs, Controller I2C Communication, or PWM Audio output. This makes TIMI a versatile tool, capable of functioning as a stand-alone controller, a Host driven peripheral, or a tethered test instrument.
The TIMI-130 uses the BreadBoard Mates MatesBus, a unique interface pinout designed for simplicity and ease of use. The MatesBus consists of two rows of five pins, with a pitch of 2.54mm and spaced 7.62mm apart. This makes it perfect for plugging directly into a breadboard, or a compatible adapter or development board.
The TIMI-130 can be oriented in four different positions: Portrait, Landscape, Portrait Reversed, and Landscape Reversed. Its natural position forms an upside-down ‘T’ shape, designed to interface with the bottom of a breadboard, leaving the top part free for components and wiring.
The TIMI-130 is an excellent design aid, primarily used to simulate component readouts and meters, which can be cumbersome or demanding on hardware resources for breadboard or electronic development. This simulation feature allows for accelerated development and efficient use of the often-limited GPIO hardware associated with many projects.
Designed with engineers, hobbyists, and students in mind, the TIMI-130 is a versatile tool that simplifies breadboarding or project development, regardless of skill level.
