Adafruit Standalone Toggle Capacitive Touch Sensor Breakout

This breakout board is an effortless way to implement a capacitive touch sensor into your project. Requiring no microcontroller, it operates with a power supply ranging from 1.8 to 5.5VDC. Simply touch the pad to activate or deactivate, functioning as an efficient toggle switch.

When touched, the red LED alternates off and on, while the output pin toggles between high and low states, making it perfect for applications where a simple on/off switch is needed. The board supports customization—solder a wire to the pad to create a bespoke capacitive touch area.

For power-conscious designs, disconnect the LED by cutting the jumper trace. This sensor features infinite timeout by default, but the option to configure a timer is available with resistor and capacitor adjustments. The board is fully assembled and includes a header for easy breadboard integration.
