The LED Buddy features an 8x2 character LCD that provides clear visibility of your readings. It automatically calculates the series resistance (E12 series), detects the polarity of an LED, and measures the LED's forward voltage. Furthermore, it allows adjustable target current and voltage. The device has contact pads for easy LED testing, and an on/off button for convenient usage.

Its dimensions are 75 x 32 x 48 mm, and it has a maximum target voltage of 0 - 30 V and a maximum target current of 2 - 26 mA. It has a power consumption of 40 mA while testing an LED and is powered by a 9 to 12 VDC or a 9V battery (not included).
