Adafruit Standalone AVR ISP Programmer Shield Kit - includes blank chip!

This shield kit pack transforms any Arduino into an AVR chip burner. Designed for programming Atmega328P to convert them into Arduino bootloader chips with an AVR-ISP sketch, it doubles as a standalone AVR ISP programmer. Program blank chips without needing a computer.

The kit includes an Adafruit Proto Shield for Arduino Kit, a 28-pin ZIF socket, a Piezo beeper, and a blank ATmega328P DIP chip for immediate programming. Set up is straightforward for Arduino bootloaders using the IDE, and a tutorial is provided.

For advanced users, creating a standalone programmer requires pasting HEX files and configuring specific code, making reference to fuse settings essential. Not included in the kit are an Arduino board, USB cable, solid core wire, soldering tools, and basic hand tools necessary for assembly and use.
