The SparkFun RFID Qwiic Kit is a comprehensive and user-friendly I2C compatible RFID starting point. It is designed for use with the ID-3LA, ID-12LA, and ID-20LA readers. Simply connect a reader to the headers, link a Qwiic cable to any Qwiic enabled development board, and scan your 125kHz ID tag. The unique 32-bit ID will be displayed on the screen. The kit includes the SparkFun RFID Qwiic Reader, an ID-12LA reader, two RFID cards, and a cable to facilitate easy setup.
The SparkFun RFID Qwiic Kit uses an onboard ATtiny84A to process the six-byte ID tag of your 125kHz RFID card. It applies a time stamp to each tag and stores up to 20 unique RFID scans at a time. This information is easily accessible through simple I2C commands. The kit also features a read LED and buzzer, with a jumper option to disable the buzzer if preferred.
The SparkFun Qwiic Connect System is a comprehensive ecosystem of I2C sensors, actuators, shields, and cables designed to make prototyping faster and less error-prone. All Qwiic-enabled boards are designed to use a common 1mm pitch, 4-pin JST connector. This design not only saves PCB space but also ensures polarized connections, preventing incorrect hook-ups.
