SparkFun DeadOn RTC Breakout - DS3234

SparkFun's DeadOn RTC Breakout - DS3234 is a high-precision real-time clock (RTC) based on the DS3234 RTC IC. This low-cost RTC offers remarkable accuracy with an integrated temperature-compensated crystal oscillator and crystal.

The DS3234 RTC maintains a variety of timekeeping elements including seconds, minutes, hours, day, date, month, and year. It automatically adjusts the date at the end of each month, accounting for months with fewer than 31 days and leap years. The RTC can operate in either a 24-hour or 12-hour format, complete with an AM/PM indicator. It also comes with two programmable time-of-day alarms and a programmable square-wave output.

This RTC breakout board features a 12mm coin-cell battery holder on its underside for battery backup. Please be aware that the battery is not included and must be purchased separately.
