The AT42QT1011 is a dedicated, single-button capacitive sense chip. This chip is designed to monitor a conductive area for touch. When a touch, such as from a finger, is detected, the AT42QT1011 maintains a high output line. In the absence of touch, the line is kept low. All you need to do is to provide a power source ranging from 1.8V to 5V and a ground for the AT42QT1011 to function. It also offers a PAD pin for those who wish to create their own external electrode.
Unlike its counterpart, the AT42QT1011 doesn’t have an internal time-out. This means that as long as you keep your finger on the breakout’s pad, it will stay on. This small difference between the AT42QT1010 and the AT42QT1011 can be a significant factor depending on your project requirements.
This product is highly versatile and can be used in a variety of applications. Whether you are developing an interactive display, an innovative home appliance, or a cutting-edge wearable device, the AT42QT1011 SparkFun Capacitive Touch Breakout can add a user-friendly, intuitive interface to your project.
With its simple operation and flexible usage, the AT42QT1011 SparkFun Capacitive Touch Breakout stands out as a unique and beneficial tool for any project requiring user interaction. Its ability to detect touch and respond accordingly adds a new level of interactivity to your designs, making it an indispensable asset for your next project.
