Adafruit Round Force-Sensitive Resistor (FSR) - 0.3 ~ 10 Newton Force

FSRs detect physical pressure, squeezing, and weight with simplicity and affordability. The Alpha MF01A-N-221-A01 sensor offers a 1/2 inch diameter sensing region, providing the same quality as the Interlink model 402 FSR at nearly half the cost.

Operating as variable resistors, FSRs change resistance based on applied pressure. While low-cost and user-friendly, expect only response ranges due to minor sensor variations of about 10%. They are not suitable for precise weight measurements but effective within a force range for general pressure detection.

Constructed from plastic, FSRs should be handled delicately, with connections made via breadboards, alligator clips, female headers, or terminal blocks. Soldering requires skill to avoid damage to the sensitive parts.
