This warm-white glowy number is made from COB (chip on board) LEDs, a design commonly seen in 'Edison-like' LED bulbs. They're configured in various patterns to emit a bright, warm lighting effect. Comprised of dozens of micro LED diodes bonded on a stiff metal backing, they're protected with a silicone coating.
Though the LEDs are positioned on one side, the thin PCB substrate allows some glow from the back as well, albeit slightly dimmer. With LEDs in parallel, just 3V is enough to power them, but it's advisable to use a resistor for current limiting up to 100mA. Note these panels are not flexible, but they provide a consistent glow that mimics the look of a tungsten filament efficiently.
Their lightweight nature allows for creative arrangements; they can easily be glued to surfaces, sewn into fabrics, or tied with fishing line. As a single extended LED, PWM dimming is straightforward. Simply power them with 3V by connecting to both ends. Locate the cathode marked with a '-' on the PCB; reverse the connection if they don't light up initially.
They are compatible with Arcade Button Quick-Connect Wire Pairs - 0.11" (10 pack), but soldering or clipping is also possible for connection. These LEDs offer flexibility in design, enabling various applications while ensuring a stable and warm luminescence.
