This warm-white glowy number is crafted with COB (chip on board) LEDs, often seen in Edison-like LED bulbs, arranged to provide a bright, warm lighting effect. Dozens of micro LED diodes are bonded on a sturdy metal backing and coated in silicone for protection.
The PCB substrate is thin, allowing the glow to emanate from both sides, though slightly dimmer from the back. With LEDs placed in parallel, only 3V is needed to light them up—ideal for those who prefer PWM dimming. Use a resistor to limit current to 100mA maximum.
These lights maintain a uniform glow and can mimic a tungsten filament effectively. Though inflexible, their lightweight design allows easy attachment to various surfaces, fabrics, or even via fishing line for creative arrangements.
Simply power them with 3V by connecting to both ends. For convenience, they are compatible with Arcade Button Quick-Connect Wire Pairs or can be soldered/clipped to tabs at the bottom. No need to worry if they don’t light up immediately, just reverse your connection, and you're good to go.
