Adafruit NeoPixel Ring - 24 x 5050 RGB LED with Integrated Drivers

Round and round they go! Experience dazzling illumination with 24 ultra-bright smart LED NeoPixels arranged in a circle with a 2.6" (66mm) outer diameter. The rings are chainable, allowing you to connect one ring's output pin to the next ring's input pin seamlessly.

Control multiple rings effortlessly using only one microcontroller pin, enhancing flexibility in your designs. Each LED features an embedded driver chip, ensuring uniform color consistency with an ~18mA constant current drive, regardless of voltage fluctuations. This eliminates the need for external choke resistors, resulting in a sleek design.

Power the NeoPixel Ring with a 5VDC supply, and you're ready to get started. A single data line with a precise timing protocol requires a real-time microcontroller like an AVR, Arduino, or PIC. Note that it won't work with Linux-based microcomputers or interpreted microcontrollers.

The NeoPixel library for Arduino supports these LEDs, providing hand-tuned assembly specifically for AVR cores. An 8MHz or faster processor is necessary for optimal performance. Delivered as a single ring containing 24 individually addressable RGB LEDs, each unit is assembled and tested for quality assurance.
