Discover the fascinating world of robotics with the Kitronik: MOVE mini buggy, specifically designed for the BBC micro: bit. This small but powerful two-wheeled robot can move autonomously, be controlled via a Bluetooth-controlled app, and be steered with an additional BBC micro: bit via built-in radio functionality.
Powered by two continuous rotating servo motors, the speed can easily be adjusted by changing the PWM signal (Pulse Width Modulation). This is simple to implement with the help of the Microsoft MakeCode Block editor, for which we have designed special Kitronik coding blocks.
The robot is equipped with five programmable RGB ZIP LEDs for various purposes such as indicators or rear lights. You can even add a pen or extra accessories to the robot to further expand its capabilities.
Please note, the BBC micro: bit is not included and must be purchased separately. Simple assembly is required for this kit and if you wish to use add-ons, soldering may be required.
In addition to the buggy, the included Kitronik: MOVE servo: lite board can also be used for other motion projects with a BBC micro: bit. We offer a range of tutorials and guides that teach you all the tricks of the trade, from controlling an extra servo to programming the ZIP LEDs and Bluetooth control.
The dimensions of the robot are 80 mm in length, 65 mm in width, and 70 mm in height. Add a new dimension to your learning experience with this versatile and captivating robot kit!
