Amplify your wearable projects with real portability offered by the Kitronik MI:power board for the BBC micro:bit. This sleek, lightweight PCB is engineered to attach seamlessly with the BBC micro:bit and incorporates a built-in buzzer and a 3V coin cell holder. The latest version has been updated to be compatible with both V1 and V2 micro:bit.
Upon assembly, the MI:power board connects directly to the 3V, GND, and P0 terminals on the micro:bit. Power is supplied to the micro:bit through the 3V and GND connections, and the inbuilt buzzer is linked to P0, the default output pin when using the audio functions in the Block Editor software.
The board features a conveniently accessible on/off switch, which simplifies powering your project on and off, eliminating the need to disconnect the power supply from the BBC micro:bit.
When the unit is assembled and connected to the BBC micro:bit, the mechanical fixtures ensure the battery cannot be removed without a screwdriver. This safety feature ensures that irrespective of the usage, the battery remains securely in place.
