Adafruit Miniature 8x8 Blue LED Matrix

With an adorable 0.8-inch square design, this miniature LED matrix houses an impressive 64 bright blue LEDs in a compact 8x8 grid. Despite its small stature, it offers the full functionality of a larger LED matrix, perfect for space-constrained projects.

Designed for easy integration, the matrix provides 16 pins, with 8 on each side, spaced at 0.1 inches. This spacing ensures seamless compatibility with standard breadboards, allowing ample room for wiring and configuration.

The grid layout requires 1:8 multiplex control. For efficient management, use a 74HC595 and TPIC6B595 to control anodes and drive cathodes individually. Alternatively, the MAX7219 chip can handle multiplexing effortlessly, with ample tutorials available online to guide you through the setup process.
