HC12 Si4438 433Mhz Transceiver module - long range

Description Attachments

The HC-12 module can send data at great distances (up to 1KM possible) on 433Mhz. The module contains the Si4438 Transciever IC in combination with an STM8 microcontroller and can both send and receive data. The module can be controlled by means of UART (RX and TX) signals using, for example, an Arduino .Specifications

  • Voltage: 3.2V - 5.5V DC
  • Power consumption(peak, maximum): <200mA
  • Power consumption(continuous, maximum): <100mA
  • Frequency range: 433.4 - 473Mhz (adjustable in 100 separate channels)
  • Built-in STM8 microcontroller for simple communication via RX and TX
  • Distance(open air, maximum): 1000m (at 5000bps in open air), 1800m (at 500 fps in open air in FU4 mode)
  • Transmit power: up to 100mW (adjustable)
  • Receiver sensitivity (maximum): -117dBm (see datasheet)
  • Baud rate adjustable from 1200 to 115200 (standard 9600)
  • 433Mhz antenna included (loose, not soldered)
  • Option for antenna via the uFL/IPEX connector
  • Temperature range: -40°C to +85°C
  • Dimensions: 27.4 x 13.2 x 2mm

With a power supply above 4.5V, it is recommended to place a diode (such as 1N4007) in series with the Vcc pin to prevent interference

Works well Small Very easy to control Missing 5 pin angled female header (luckily I still had it) Price could be a bit sharper
This is the module for super simple wireless communication, both in terms of connection and control in code. There is no simpler. Even easier on a Leonardo or other board with double UART like MEGA, DUE, M0/M4 because then you really don't need libraries at all, not even Software Serial. Price may be a bit sharper, or add the diode and an angled female header (then you can work without a breadboard) for this amount.
