QArtCan I use this sensor as a temperature sensor in a computer? Or is the PC unable to read the sensor?ViewHide 1 answer | Answer this question
AOpencircuitIndeed, the computer cannot simply read this sensor. A microcontroller / minicomputer such as the Raspberry Pi can do this.
QFrankTo which GPIO pin of a Raspberry Pi could I connect the yellow wire of this sensor? Is it possible to link an example incl. Python code for this?Answer this question
QPeter NiesThere are 3 wires in the cable, what color is what ??? red black yellow ??ViewHide 1 answer | Answer this question
AOpencircuitRed = VIN, Black = GND, Yellow = data
QRoy NoordhuizenIs this just the probe or is the sensor also incorporated? As in, plug and go.ViewHide 1 answer | Answer this question
AOpencircuitYes, this sensor is completely "plug-and-go" ready!
QKris WerbrouckCan the connection cable be used in a water heater? (between 100°C and 125°C)ViewHide 1 answer | Answer this question
AOpencircuitThat is probably not wise since the protection of the wires is made of plastic. Besides that, the temperature is also at the maximum of the sensor, which affects the precision of the sensor. PT100 sensors are much more suitable for these applications and also have corresponding protection for these temperatures.

Only tested briefly but seems to work well.

Good temperature sensor. They are not original but that is the case with most sellers. They work well and the 2 I have indicate almost identical temperatures and hardly needed to be calibrated

Delivery was super fast
Top sensor, don't forget to place a 4.7K ohm resistor between data and vcc if you use a Raspberry Pi.
