Copper tape is a versatile addition to any toolbox. Comprised of thin, pure copper, it's flexible enough to mold into various shapes effortlessly. Its surface allows for easy soldering, and it can conduct current similar to a standard wire.
The back features an electrically conductive adhesive, ideal for sensing applications when soldering the tape is undesirable. While this adhesive cannot carry substantial current, it's particularly useful for non-invasive signal transmission.
Common applications include EMI shielding, crafting capacitive touch pads, and creating ultra-thin electrical connections. Additionally, copper tape is beneficial in projects involving electroluminescent materials. It is available in a 15-meter roll, measuring 3 mils (0.07mm) in thickness and 1/4 inch (6mm) in width, complete with a protective paper backing.
