Adafruit Circuit Playground TFT Gizmo - Bolt-on Display + Audio Amplifier

Extend and expand your Circuit Playground projects with a bolt-on TFT Gizmo that lets you add a lovely color display in a sturdy and reliable fashion. This PCB resembles a round TFT breakout but has permanently affixed M3 standoffs that act as both mechanical and electrical connections.

Upon attachment, you'll enjoy a 1.54" 240x240 IPS display with backlight control. It features two 3-pin STEMMA connectors for attaching NeoPixel strips or servos, and a Class D audio amplifier with a Molex PicoBlade connector for plugging in one of our small speakers. Perfectly compatible with Circuit Playground Express or Bluefruit boards, thanks to their fast SPI hardware speeds, it seamlessly works with both Arduino and CircuitPython.

With Circuit Playground Express and CircuitPython, you can display simple tasks like the REPL or a basic image slideshow. However, for more robust CircuitPython projects, the Bluefruit is highly recommended for superior performance. Using it with the Circuit Playground Classic in Arduino is possible but not advisable due to the slow display speed from pixel bitbanging.

The package includes a PCB with pre-soldered standoffs and 12x M3 screws for attachment. While it fits all Circuit Playgrounds, the Express and Bluefruit are ideally recommended for optimal performance.
