Sparkfun BitZero V2 for Shapeoko

The BitZero V2 is a compact, efficient accessory for the Shapeoko CNC machine, designed to enhance precision in locating the edges or datums of your milling projects. This active probe communicates its position to the Carbide Motion software, streamlining the fabrication process. With improvements such as a lower profile and a magnetic ground connection, it offers quick and accurate determination of the X, Y, and Z zero points.

The updated design of the BitZero V2 makes it ideal for probing taller projects with ease. Thanks to its magnetic ground connection, the hassle of using an alligator clip is eliminated, simplifying the setup process. Additionally, the bore for X/Y direction probing ensures that tool diameter is no longer a concern, offering greater versatility.

The plastic base of the BitZero V2 provides insulation from the workpiece, allowing for probing of conductive materials without complications. A 6.35mm reference pin is included to eliminate tool flute interference, ensuring accuracy in every job. The active probing design continues to offer reliability, quickly triggering to protect your tools.
