Adafruit Arduino bootloader-programmed chip (Atmega328P)

Description

The preprogrammed Atmega328P chip empowers you to create Arduino-compatible devices or restore a malfunctioning chip on an existing Arduino UNO, Duemilanove, Diecimila, or NG.

Programmed with the ADAboot bootloader, this chip ensures a "quick-start" experience, maintaining a 5-second delay post-reset but initiating immediately after sketch upload, enhancing debugging efficiency. It's compatible with various Arduino versions, including NG, Diecimila, Duemilanove, UNO, and Freeduino/Clone Arduinos.

A notable modification minimizes the 5-second delay when Processing or MaxMSP opens the serial port by auto-starting the application if the first character isn't a '0'. Operating at a 57600 baud rate for fast uploads, it seamlessly integrates with version 009 and later of the IDE software. For a straightforward upgrade, follow our online instructional guide, requiring only a chip replacement and version 13+ of the Arduino IDE.
