Adafruit TS3USB30 1 to 2 USB Switch

The Adafruit TS3USB30 1 to 2 USB Switch is a compact breakout board designed for the TI TS3USB30, allowing seamless connectivity between one of two USB devices and a single port. Perfect for setups that require communications over USB without a hub.

This breakout supports swift, high bandwidth USB 2.0 connections up to 480 Mbps. The upstream connection is used to link to a USB host device, using either the USB Type C port or bottom breakout pads.

Benefits include easy switching using the S pin to select active ports, with a low signal representing port 1 and a high signal indicating port 2. The Output Enable pin allows disconnection of both ports as needed, yet power remains uninterrupted to maintain device readiness.

Power is not switched, meaning devices need to be alert to USB data disconnections for any functional adjustments. Although solid-state chips handle this smoothly, microcontrollers might require a reset or enable pin for re-enumeration. The board comes fully assembled, equipped with a 3.3V regulator from 5V, and a usable green power LED.

Optional headers enhance breadboard compatibility, offering up to 12 Mbps speeds. Four convenient mounting holes ensure easy integration into your setup.
