The Adafruit TPL5110 Power Timer transforms any electronics into low-power devices with its built-in timer, ranging from 100ms to two hours. It's perfect for projects that require battery or solar operation.
The TPL5110 automatically turns your project on at adjustable intervals using a potentiometer or resistor and powers down when it receives a completion signal. If no signal is received, it resets devices like a watchdog timer. This ensures optimal energy usage with a current draw of only 20uA while in standby mode.
Setup involves adjusting delay via the onboard trim pot, connecting your power supply to the VDD, and linking a project's power-in to the Drive pin. A signal pin goes to the Done pin to ensure smooth operation within your code or design.
This versatile breakout comes fully assembled, featuring the TPL5110 chip and necessary components. While effective with Huzzah ESP8266 Feather, compatibility with ESP8266 is not assured for everyone. A little soldering is needed for breadboard integration.
