Adafruit SPA06-003 Temperature + Pressure Sensor

This pressure sensor from Goertek is an economical sensing solution for measuring barometric pressure. Ideal for projects requiring basic altitude calculations, it effectively serves DIY ventures such as quadcopter builds and environmental monitoring.

The SPA06-003 offers a measurement range from 300 to 1100 hPa, allowing altitude detection from approximately -500 to +9000 meters above sea level. It provides typical relative accuracy of ±3 Pa and absolute accuracy of ±30 Pascals. Temperature measurement accuracy is ±1°C.

While it might not reach the precision of Bosch's BMP series, its affordability and functionality make it a worthwhile option. The sensor is mounted on a PCB with a 3.3V regulator and level shifting, supporting both 3V and 5V logic microcontrollers seamlessly.

The custom PCB uses the STEMMA QT form factor, which simplifies connectivity. It includes STEMMA QT connectors compatible with SparkFun Qwiic I2C connectors, facilitating solderless connections and easy integration with various sensors and accessories. Note that the QT cable is sold separately.
