The Adafruit 2.7" 400x240 SHARP Memory Display Breakout uniquely combines the attributes of eInk and LCD, offering ultra-low power consumption with fast refresh rates. The display features a gray background for black-on-gray pixel presentation, perfect for e-reader style visuals without a backlight, ensuring it remains daylight readable.

The display's power versatility is enhanced by a breakout board equipped with a 3V regulator, 5V boost converter, and level shifting circuitry, making it compatible with both 3V and 5V power and logic. With four mounting holes, this display easily integrates into projects.

As a write-only display, it requires 3 pins for data transmission, demanding buffering of its 13.5 KB by a high-RAM chip such as ATSAMD21, Teensy, ESP8266, or ESP32. This constraint ensures exceptional performance and visual quality on suitable microcontrollers, although it is incompatible with ATmega328.
