Adafruit NeoPixel Shield - 40 RGBW - Cool White

Put on your sunglasses before adding this shield to your Arduino, featuring 40 eye-catching RGBW LEDs arranged in a 5x8 matrix for a burst of vibrant color. Each pixel is individually addressable, requiring just one pin (Digital #6) for control, but customization is possible using other pins.

This is the Cool White RGBW version, but it also comes in Warm White, Natural White, and RGB. The NeoPixel's split design offers RGB along with a white LED, providing stunning brightness and 32-bit color control through 8-bit PWM per channel.

Perfect for projects needing a splash of colorful dots, the shield powers on default with the 5V onboard Arduino supply. For full power or external supply, a terminal block is included for 4-6VDC. Its polarity protection ensures safe usage.

Expand your project by chaining multiple shields. Connect the DIN of the second shield to the first shield's DOUT. Power with 5V, but note that over 5 shields may tax the RAM on an UNO.
