This warm-white glowy number is made from COB (chip on board) LEDs, typically found in 'Edison-like' LED bulbs. They are arranged in various patterns to deliver a bright, warm lighting effect.
Each unit comprises dozens of micro LED diodes bonded on a stiff metal backing and coated in silicone for protection. The thin PCB substrate allows light to glow out from the back, albeit slightly dimmer.
The LEDs are in parallel, requiring just 3V for illumination. To ensure optimal performance, we recommend using a resistor to limit the current to a maximum of 100mA. These are not flexible, yet they offer a consistent glow, effectively emulating a traditional tungsten filament.
Lightweight and adaptive, they can be arranged in groups, easily glued to surfaces, sewn onto fabric, or secured with fishing lines. Their design as a 'big long LED' allows for simple PWM dimming. Connect to both ends with 3V power; a small '-' symbol indicates the cathode negative side.
If there is no immediate illumination, simply reverse the connection. They are compatible with Arcade Button Quick-Connect Wire Pairs - 0.11" (10 pack), or opt for soldering or clipping to the tabs at the bottom.
