So thin. So mini. So teeeeeeny-tiny. It's the 'skinny' version of our classic NeoPixel strips! These NeoPixel strips feature 60 digitally-addressable pixel Mini LEDs per meter. With a width of only 7.5 mm, or 5 mm if you remove the strip from the casing, they're as compact as they are versatile.
This variant comes with a black flex PCB, differing from the white only in the mask color. Each RGB LED can be individually controlled using 8-bit PWM precision, enabling 24-bit color per pixel. The LED chips include built-in PWM, so they maintain their set color without continuous data input.
The high-density design uses approximately 9.5 Watts max per meter at full white, recommending a good 5V DC power supply like our 5V/2A, 5V/4A, or 5V/10A. These LED strips are compatible with microcontrollers that offer precise timing, such as the Arduino Uno/Mega at 8MHz and 16MHz, Raspberry Pi, and BeagleBone Black. A unique single-pin input/output setup makes for seamless communication, but may not work with slower processors.
Constructed from flexible PCB material, the strip is housed in weatherproof sheathing and can be easily modified. You can cut the strip every 0.66 inches/17mm, soldering to the 0.1" copper pads for your customized length or linking multiple strips for extended runs—mind the current requirements when doing so. Available in 4-meter reels with connectors, they support quick setup with a robust power solution and data connection options.
