Adafruit Micro-Lipo Charger for LiPo/LiIon Batt w/MicroUSB Jack

This compact LiPo charger is exceptionally convenient, effortlessly fitting on your desk or integrating into projects. Simply connect it using any MicroUSB cable to a USB port, and attach a 3.7V/4.2V lithium polymer or lithium-ion rechargeable battery to the JST plug.

The charger features two LEDs: a red one that illuminates during charging and a green one that lights up when the battery is fully charged. Compatible solely with Adafruit LiPoly/LiIon batteries, this device ensures safety and efficiency by accommodating specific voltage, chemistry, and polarity.

Charging is conducted in three main stages: preconditioning, constant-current fast charge, and constant-voltage trickle charge to maintain battery levels. By default, the charge current is 100mA, suitable for diverse battery sizes and USB ports. You can easily switch to 500mA mode for charging batteries with 500mAh capacity or larger by soldering the front jumper. The unit comes assembled and tested, complete with a free JST cable.

Features include a 5V input via Micro-B USB connector for charging single Lithium Ion/Lithium Polymer 3.7/4.2V batteries. Note that it is not compatible with older 3.6/4.1V cells. The adjustable charge current further enhances its versatility and usefulness in various applications.
