Adafruit LTC4311 I2C Extender / Active Terminator

I2C, or Inter-Integrated-Circuit communication, is ideal for short distances on a PCB, but with the Adafruit LTC4311 active terminator, you can extend its capabilities over longer cables effortlessly.

Simply connect the LTC4311 at the start or end of your I2C chain. When powered, it boosts the SDA and SCL lines, allowing faster data rates without adjusting resistors. Experience exceptional performance with devices like a 400 KHz OLED over 3 meters or a BME680 sensor over 100 feet of Ethernet.

Compatible with bus voltages from 1.6V to 5.5V and supports up to 400 KHz SCL speed for cables up to 4000pF. No firmware or special configuration needed. Our custom PCB with STEMMA QT connectors makes connections simple and integrates seamlessly with SparkFun Qwiic I2C connectors.
