The Adafruit Radio Bonnet transforms your Raspberry Pi into a long-range communication powerhouse. Adding a LoRa/LoRaWAN radio, it enables wireless connectivity over vast distances, making it perfect for applications needing a long-range connection.

Compatible with both 868MHz and 915MHz bands, this module can be dynamically tuned to your specific frequency requirements. The radio's +20dBm packet transmission range reaches up to 20Km with optimal conditions and equipment, providing unparalleled reach compared to standard WiFi or Bluetooth®.

Equipped with a 128x32 OLED display and three interactive buttons, the bonnet offers a customizable user interface. This setup, along with CircuitPython libraries, simplifies the process of sending and receiving LoRa data without the complexities of traditional wireless technologies.

The module supports easy integration with other microcontrollers through its SX1276 LoRa® based SPI interface, with software-selectable power outputs up to 100 mW. The design ensures minimized power wastage through efficient packetization and error correction processes.

All radios are sold individually and require frequency-matching partners for communication. The bonnet comes fully assembled, with options for a simple wire antenna or advanced connectors like uFL or SMA for antenna customization, providing flexibility and convenience.
