This OLED packs an impressive 128x128 pixels, offering remarkable detail and clarity with 16 levels of grayscale. Despite its compact 1.5-inch size, the screen's high contrast and self-lit design eliminate the need for a backlight, ensuring minimal power consumption and vibrant visuals.
Each grayscale OLED pixel is individually controlled by the SSD1327 driver chip, supporting both I2C and SPI communication. The display comes with a built-in 3.3V regulator and 12V boost converter, making it compatible with both 3V and 5V devices. Seamless integration is possible with the included SparkFun qwiic compatible STEMMA QT connectors for solder-free I2C connectivity.
This display requires 8KB of SRAM for buffering, making it compatible with microcontrollers like the SAMD21, SAMD51, ESP, nRF52, and Teensy. It supports both Arduino and CircuitPython, ensuring versatility for various projects. To maintain brightness, turn off the display when not in use, preventing pixel dimming over extended periods.
