Adafruit DC Power BFF Add-On for QT Py

This add-on transforms your QT Py or Xiao dev board, enabling it to handle up to 20V DC power. At its core is the MPM3610 integrated buck converter, which efficiently converts up to 20V input into 5V, eliminating the need for a heat sink.

Boasting a solid 1 Amp output, it smoothly supports components like LEDs, displays, WiFi modules, and small motors. It includes a 3.5mm terminal block and a 2.1mm DC jack, both protected by a Schottky diode. These inputs provide flexibility, allowing power through either option but not simultaneously.

The add-on also doubles as a 'pass-through output' via the terminal block while using the DC jack, facilitating high-voltage device connections. It features enable and ground solderable pads for external switch integration to disable the converter when required.

Due to the add-on's design with through-hole components, a socket header is recommended for mounting the QT Py on top instead of back-to-back soldering. Included are two 7-pin socket headers for seamless integration, complemented by break-apart railings for secure mechanical stabilization.
