
The Adafruit DAC7578 Breakout condenses eight 12-bit Digital-to-Analog Converters into one convenient package, providing versatile voltage settings for various applications. Seamlessly controlled via I2C, this breakout board adapts effortlessly to both 3.3V and 5V systems for full-range output compatibility.
This DAC operates ratiometrically, where 0 corresponds to ground and 4095 is set by the Vref voltage. You can customize the top voltage anywhere from 0 to the power pin, enhancing precision for specific needs. Supporting an ideal 4.095V reference requires 5V power input and setting VRef at 4.095V.
Equipped with SparkFun Qwiic compatible STEMMA QT JST SH connectors, the DAC7578 integrates smoothly with various projects, allowing for convenient I2C bus sharing with compatible sensors and devices. Although QT cables are sold separately, diverse options are available in our shop to suit different wiring needs.
