This 16x8 LED display can be placed atop any Raspberry Pi computer with a 2x20 connector, creating a bright grid of 128 charlieplexed LEDs. Available in vivid colors, this version features a cool white LED matrix. The onboard I2C LED driver allows PWM control of each LED, resulting in beautiful lighting effects without complex pin configurations. Simply specify the LED and desired brightness, and it handles the rest, delivering 8-bit (256 level) dimming for each LED.

The IS31FL3731 chip runs on 3.3V power and contains RAM for up to 8 frames of display memory, allowing for smooth animations with minimal commands. Sharing the SDA/SCL pins with other I2C devices and sensors, it occupies minimal space on your Pi. Fully assembled and solder-free, it’s ready to plug in and use. Program it with the CircuitPython library, compatible with Linux-based Raspberry Pi computers, making graphics or text display effortless.
