Easy e-paper arrives for microcontrollers. Experience seamless integration with this breakout board built to effortlessly add a monochromatic eInk display. Featuring a 2.13" display with a resolution of 250x122 black pixels on a light background, this device offers a high-contrast, daylight-readable screen, similar to printed paper.
Monochrome displays minimize update time, completing updates in mere seconds compared to tri-color displays. Utilize CircuitPython or Arduino libraries to create a frame buffer, simplifying the process of writing images to the display.
A built-in SRAM chip optimizes memory usage, freeing up precious microcontroller space. By sharing the SPI port with the eInk display, you only need one additional pin. This design eliminates the need for frame buffering, allowing data shuffling from SRAM to eInk at your convenience.
An onboard 3.3V regulator with an Enable pin provides ultra-low power options. Additionally, the MicroSD socket allows image and file storage for display purposes. Compatible with both 3V and 5V logic, this breakout board is perfect for use with various microcontrollers.
Comes fully assembled and tested, although soldering is required to attach the included header for breadboarding or project installation.
