Easy e-paper integration with microcontrollers is now achievable with a 2.13" quad-color eInk display breakout. Imagine a display whose image remains even when power is off — high contrast and daylight readable like printed paper.
This display features a resolution of 250x122, offering vibrant quad colors: red, black, yellow, and white with a JD79661 chipset. It is compatible with CircuitPython and Arduino with library support to create 'frame buffers' easily.
To combat memory limitations, the breakout includes an SRAM chip, allowing data storage without consuming microcontroller RAM. Connect via a shared SPI port and utilize the MicroSD socket for additional storage options.
Implement with ease using the 18-pin EYE SPI connector for solder-free integration. Suited for ultra-low power projects, it includes a disable feature for the power regulator. Assembly requires minor soldering for headers, and it's compatible with any voltage logic from 3 to 5 volts.
