Adafruit TT Motor Encoder (Pack of 2)

Plastic gear-box motors, known as 'TT' motors, are an efficient solution for adding movement to your projects. They are cost-effective, robust, and straightforward to operate, providing simple voltage input for rotational output. However, they lack the capability to measure speed or position.

This TT Motor Encoder enhances these motors by offering snap-on encoder wheels. They're made from solid, yet thin, black injection-molded plastic which prevents added bulk. Simply attach the encoder to the opposite end of your wheel, and use a photo interrupter sensor to gauge wheel speed. While the encoder does not determine rotation direction, it seamlessly integrates with 'TT' gearbox DC motors, thanks to an oval notch for easy attachment.

Each pack includes two encoders, designed exclusively for TT motors. Consider pairing with a T-Slot Photo Interrupter or its 1-meter cable variant for optimal performance.
