These durable and affordable gearbox motors, known as 'TT' motors, revolutionize project movement. With their all-metal construction, they offer a gear ratio of 1:90, providing higher torque at slower speeds compared to the standard 1:48 ratio. Ideal for robots demanding strength over speed, these motors boast steel machined gears, ensuring durability over the plastic variants.
Power these motors anywhere from 3VDC to 6VDC. Expect slightly faster performance at higher voltages. At 3VDC, achieve 80 RPM with a no-load current of 80mA. At 6VDC, enjoy 120 RPM with a no-load current of 100mA. Keep in mind these motors require external feedback systems for precision due to no built-in encoders.
Note that a high-current motor driver, like the DRV8833, is necessary as these motors can't connect directly to a microcontroller. The stall current can rise significantly, so current limiting is advised. We also offer various wheels and accessories to customize your setup.
