Adafruit Standard LCD 16x2 + extras

Standard HD44780 LCDs enhance standalone projects with a 16-character, 2-row display. The white text contrasts sharply against the blue background, making it clear and easy to read.

The connection port is designed with a 0.1" pitch, creating a seamless integration for breadboarding and wiring. The back of the LCD clearly documents pin locations, simplifying the setup process.

Equipped with a single LED backlight, it efficiently conserves power and can be adjusted in brightness using a resistor or PWM. The unit requires only 6 digital lines for complete control, offering flexibility with both analog and digital pins.

The built-in character set supports English and Japanese, with the ability to create up to 8 custom characters. A contrast potentiometer and header strip are included for effortless installation.
